eek so nervous

Im in a very new relationship, tonight is the night im going to be meeting his parents and sister and other members of the family for the first time at an engagememnt party and then meeting a couple of his friends in town after the party for a birthday. Im so nervous about meeting them when he invited me was a bit reluctant to agree to meeting both sets of people on the same night but hes twisted my finger. Its been about 7 years ince anyones introduced me as their gf im so worried is this normal?

At least it gets a few people 'out of the way' at the same time. Also, there'll be plenty going on and (no offence) but people's main priority will be the engaged couple - so it shouldn't be too stressful.

A couple of drinks and a bit of buffet and you'll be fine. Be yourself! x

I think everyone does that, just have a glass of water with every alcoholic beverage and you should be fine!

Two lots of new people in one night could be a bit daunting but it gets it over with, doesn't it. Nothing wrong with feeling shy beforehand, I think it makes a better impression than someone who is loud and really pushy so I am sure you will find a balance. They are going to be interested to see who your bf is keen on (and don't forget they might be shy too).

Hello, just nipped on to say thanks for all of your words yesterday. It went really well and im so glad went now best night out in ages. We didnt stay at the engagement party long but his family seem really nice his dad kept trying to embarrass bf so think he was getting a loittle fed up why didnt stay long his friends were all ok aswell had a giggle four guys and 2 of them had their gfs with them so i wasnt only woman which was an help, went back to one of the lads house after for a few drinks.
Ended up very drunk didnt get in until 3am ended up sick but he looked after me, was bit embarrsed this morning but he saw funny side. Hes just nipped to co-op for some bacon bless him:)

Back to mummy duties at 1pm and hes going for his kids so feeling bit sad dont know when ill see him again
