Let's try and put our fingers on it.

It can't be explained can it.

It makes no sense.

All i know is that my heart skips a beat everytime i see my boyfriend ( even if i don't want it to).

He warms a room when he is in it.

He makes me want to be a better person.

He makes me believe in trust ( taken a while)

He makes me want to cook ( thats the oddest bit)

LOL! Sounds like a pretty good description to me.

Its not tangible thats for sure. But its there, and it feels like its physical.

fairyfly · 18/08/2006 01:19

and you can think you are in it when you realise after you weren't really, it plays tricks.

i think loving someone means always wanting the best for them even if thats not always whats best for you.it's knowing someones worst bits and loving them anyway. and my big one with dh, is that no matter what i do, it's always better if he is there even if it's just sitting watching tv or whatever.

fairyfly · 18/08/2006 01:26

It's wearing their jumpers when your not with them and sniffing the sleeves.

I know DP loves me because he mops up my sick coz he knows I cant cope with it.

alexsmilitantmum · 18/08/2006 01:29

mmmmm fairyfly- i think thats love in the early stages
love is following someone round with a bottle of disinfectant when they have salmonella and can't control their bowels.

fairyfly · 18/08/2006 01:31

It's knowing if they are going to be sick they can go back to their own house and clean up their own mess

alexsmilitantmum I still love wearing dp clothes and recognising his smell on them and that is four years down the line, although for some people that is early days.

alexsmilitantmum · 18/08/2006 01:37

well it's been 14 years here and i guess the smell on jumpers things has worn off now.

"Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness." - Oliver Wendell Holmes

Nah, don't agree with that.

I still remeber the feeling of smelling my boyfriends shirt 12 years ago, i didn't realise then the feeling was love.

I once heard an interview with somone who ahd been married for decades and they asked her what the secret is of a successful marriage and she said,
"You don't have to love each other all the time but the secret is not to both fall out of love with each other at the same time."

I think she was on to something

twinsetandpearls · 18/08/2006 01:43

sallystrawberry surely you do his washing because you love him though!

Love Is...

Love is...
Love is feeling cold in the back of vans
Love is a fanclub with only two fans
Love is walking holding paintstained hands
Love is.

Love is fish and chips on winter nights
Love is blankets full of strange delights
Love is when you don't put out the light
Love is

Love is the presents in Christmas shops
Love is when you're feeling Top of the Pops
Love is what happens when the music stops
Love is

Love is white panties lying all forlorn
Love is pink nightdresses still slightly warm
Love is when you have to leave at dawn
Love is

Love is you and love is me
Love is a prison and love is free
Love's what's there when you are away from me
Love is...

We became friends after we first went out together, i wasn't ready and moved away from him. I wanted adventure.

I then got accidently pregnant and stayed with the new man convinced in the fact that we should try and make a family so had another child with him.

Anyway, i never let him go, i just thought we were friends, we weren't. I see that now. I thought about him too much. I worked out sometime back that i was and always have been in love with him, i was just scared.
