Lack of sex

I know the reason, my DH has asthma and after we have had sex his chest tightens up and finds it hard to breathe for a few minutes. He then has to take his pump.

This is having an extreme affect on his libido, which I understand completely, but I wish he told me this instead of switching off, which has caused a lot of arguments.

Does anyone have any tips in improving this situation.

Does he have regular asthma checks? Is it a salbutamol inhaler he is using after? Does he take it before? [not the sexiest lead up I accept]

He has tried taking it before, the same happens.

He has only been diagnosed around 8 months ago.

He has a blue pump called airomir and a powder pump called symbicort

He should go back to the GP and have an asthma review, what may help is a brown steroid inhaler aka a preventer, by using this first thing in the morning and last thing at night he should find that the need to use the salbutamol inhaler aka the reliever is vastly reduced

He has not long had a review where he was switch from a brown coloured pump ( I think) to the white powdered pump.

It is really scary when it happens.

I have asthma and recently switched to a combined preventer/reliever called Fostair, it's really good and I never get wheezy now. I agree, he definitely needs a review, if the asthma is controlled properly he should not be having these attacks.
