I dont know where you are but we once went to Oban for a night and it was gorgeous - there was no dirtyness afoot though.

catsmother · 15/08/2006 23:22

If you've only got a night I'd concentrate on the hotel as opposed to the surroundings, but this one has both !

Hotel Pelirocco

Some of the rooms are over the top and kitsch but that's the fun of it.

CountessDracula · 15/08/2006 23:23

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 15/08/2006 23:23

89 quid for a night atm including an enormous continental breakfast

i just had weekend like that there, and we got a suite for that price

its lovely

HappyDaddy · 16/08/2006 10:02

How about this? Royal Horseguards View over the Thames and a bit of opulence on a (kind of) budget.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/08/2006 12:14

Oooh ive stayed at the royal horseguards!!! It was nice, but, there are few rooms with the lovely view - most are internal courtyard/fire exit views unless you pay through the nostrils. Plus, if you are drivingits a bit of a pain.

titchy · 17/08/2006 10:53

Ooh what's the Mr and Mrs Smith website?
