Lady gardens…..what's the fashion these days?!

In a new relationship and very likely to consummate soon Wink, but I am a bit concerned at what men expect these days. Is everyone having vagazzles, brazilians etc. Do ordinary women - like myself - just go for neat and tidy? I'm feeling self conscious and a bit embarrassed.

I find it funny to veet it into shapes to surprise my husband with. Right now it's a heart. He really likes it but refuses to do his. Spoilsport.

I do wax off the thigh sideburns though. Not smuggling Diana ross' head in my gusset. I don't like that look.

LoisPuddingLane · 19/03/2014 14:05

I have untended length and it never gets caught up in stuff. Although I'm sure if I was working down t'mill they would make me trim it.

Seriously though, I love having it longer. I tried shaving and the regrowth was horrible. The way my lady-parts are arranged meant that I was getting a lot of unwanted stimulation, not of a good sort either. Waxing - well that can go fuck itself. I'm not tearing my hair out by the root for anyone.

CheesyBadger · 19/03/2014 14:05

I prefer to leave it although I have straight pubes so a bit weird if left entirely. Dp's preference is most off, but I don't really take much notice as it doesn't affect our sex life,

CurtWild · 19/03/2014 14:17

Stbxh loved it completely bald. So, as the newly separated, I'm happily 'growing it out' ..because I can Grin. It's been a chilly winter so it's come in handy with keeping me warm.

LoisPuddingLane · 19/03/2014 14:33

I don't get the attraction of bald bits for either sex. I mean it's not the prettiest area and hair sort of makes it look better.

wallypops · 19/03/2014 16:01

Swimmers wax here as a minimum. So no thigh burns or floating fringes. Swimming with others with armpit fringes also a bit ugh in the pool. Although generally I like my men to have armpit hair.

New man - shaves his armpits - but not very well in my opinion! But has lovely hairy chest. I am currently sporting a minimum style, with a no 7 cut on the trimmers for length - new man does a nice line in oral and keen to encourage that with no pubic hair mouthfuls.

I have been doing a bit of lasering, and so have had to do a lot of shaving with that - not keen on the stubble spots though.

Kind of can't believe I am posting this!!

LoisPuddingLane · 19/03/2014 16:07

Frankly I'd rather have a soft bush against my face than a few mm of sharp stubble.

WTFwasthat · 19/03/2014 16:12

Thankyou - all very helpful!± I think I will just go neat and tidy. Don't think I can do any of the full on baldness, after all I am 48 not 11. It has made me lol at some of the posts!

I'm stunned by the revelation that men shave their armpits Shock

Sparklysilversequins · 19/03/2014 16:20

You'd need a machete to get through mine and that's exactly how I like it.

WTFwasthat · 19/03/2014 16:25

Don't think i would be particularly keen on the shaven look on a man - it would;t be a deal breaker but i may well find myself suggesting a more rustic look!

SnookyPooky · 19/03/2014 17:49

Snort at Melon, Diana Ross and thigh sideburns!
I shave it all off, too scared to wax.

FolkGirl · 19/03/2014 18:19

If a man is funny about pubes or gets grossed out by them I always assume he watches a lot of porn.

So do I. I had a man tell me on a second date (yes, that's right SECOND DATE!!) that he would like me to be "fully shaved down there" when we next went out...

I didn't see him again. On the basis that he probably watched a lot of porn and would probably also make other requests demands I wouldn't be happy with. Oh and the basis he thought that was 2nd date conversation!

I am neatly trimmed with a smooth undercarriage. Just in case you were interested.

Helllllooooo World!

Darkesteyes · 19/03/2014 18:20

I too have the full on. Have never shaved down there and never will

However the normalizing of this is even creeping into our TV dramas. There was a repeat episode of Whitechapel on itv3 earlier this week and there was a scene where they were looking at old porn mags And the female officer pointed to one and said "You gotta love a hairy bird look"

More expectation of women.

Darkesteyes · 19/03/2014 18:22

i love a man to look manly. my ex OM had a hairy chest and it didnt bother me one bit.

PollyIndia · 19/03/2014 18:31

No no, the bush is back. Everything gone is very 10 years ago.
Very important to be on trend with your lady garden.

LoisPuddingLane · 19/03/2014 18:33

I hope the bush stays this time. I love a bit of bush. And men with hairy chests and hairy forearms turn me into a puddle.

Darkesteyes · 19/03/2014 18:35

Lweji · 19/03/2014 18:35

It is back indeed

LividofLondon · 19/03/2014 18:36

Neatly trimmed triangle at the front and a shaven undercarriage for me. I feel it's the best of both worlds; smooth where it'll be licked but not the full on prepubescent look. Men with no pubes? No thanks!

Heathcliff27 · 19/03/2014 18:36

Weaving and plaiting here too, its been a while since I did any pruning

LoisPuddingLane · 19/03/2014 18:40

I've probably said this before (I tend to repeat myself) but the last three guys I've been with all had shaved their Down There. I was really disappointed.

BoJolly · 19/03/2014 18:40

I like to tuck mine into the top of my pop sox.
