First wedding anniversary gift for him?

So at the end of the month it will be my husband and I's first wedding anniversary. We've been together 8 years but only married for one. Would like to get him something that he can keep, something he can still have in years to come, maybe something engraved.. Any ideas? For our wedding day I had some cuff links engraved which we seemed to really like.

I bought DH a magazine subscription for our 1st anniversary

I got my DH tickets to see his favourite comedian (paper!) and it also meant I got to go with him too

I got my DH a painting on our 1st anniversary. It is of our home town.

How about a leather bound journal with his initials on?

I'll give you a great idea for next year. You can transform a photo into a painting. Two years ago, I transformed our first photo together into a beautiful painting with the help of Painted Souvenirs. My husband was thrilled.

I got my husband a large framed photo of the sunrise on the day we were married, so fits with the paper 1st anniversary.
It was from a company called 'The day that' and someone takes photos every day at a scenic place in Devon or Cornwall.

I can't remember what I gave DH but I do remember that he wrote me a letter on really nice paper. It is one of my most treasured possessions.
