God no! If I could get a nicely fitted one without underwires I might...

I'm a 36KK (actually I'm bigger than that but can't find a bigger bra and have to get a new one made). My bras are fricken expensive so I can't buy one to just pull the underwires out and as others stated, the best part of my day is taking of my bra, lying on the bed and letting it all air out!

Proudmummytodc2 · 21/02/2014 03:51

I'm a 38G and I can't wait to get my bra off I only wear one when put soon as I'm home it's whipped off lol I hate them they make my boobs feel like they are in my face and they are uncomfortable lol but when I was younger (12/13?) I'm now 23 I remember getting it put in my head by my gran and auntie that if you wore your bra to bed then your boobs wouldn't grow so I think this could have possibly stuck with me through life lol I for. Even know of it has any truth to it though anyone else heard this?

Proudmummytodc2 · 21/02/2014 03:52

Sorry spelling mistakes stupid phone I meant *i don't even know if this is true

oldwomaninashoe · 21/02/2014 07:59

I have perky 36DD's (I look fine in a dress or top braless) however since my first pregnancy 33years ago I have worn a bra at night.
I believe there is little muscle in that region, so if you let them "dangle" they will do just that.
I'm in my early 60's and pass the pencil test, no spaniels ears here!

Offred · 21/02/2014 08:20

Wearing a bra at night has no effect on sag. Nor does normal breastfeeding apparently although I'm unsure about this personally given when bf twins mine increased 3 cup sizes and then reduced by two so there was some stretching! It is pregnancy, age, weight gain/loss and the elasticity of the individual's skin which affect sag.

Wearing a bra at night increases your risk of breast cancer I think.

hmc · 21/02/2014 08:29

Good grief! No it doesn't Offred.

TwoNoisyBoys · 21/02/2014 08:39

I do every night apart from when my fella stays over :) too uncomfortable without one, tbh...... Offers, why does it increase your risk of breast cancer???

TwoNoisyBoys · 21/02/2014 08:39

Sorry, Offred not offers!! Bloody phone!

Offred · 21/02/2014 08:41

Pressure on the tissue in a similar way to knocks to being hit in the breasts/testicles.

Offred · 21/02/2014 08:41

*or

Offred · 21/02/2014 08:42

Obvs depends on the bra but underwired guys I reckon are no good.

alemci · 21/02/2014 08:43

I must admit when I remember i do that 'i must, i must, i must improve my bust' elbow thing.

When you sleep in a bra is it a soft one presumably?

not keen to sleep in a bra tbh.

randomAXEofkindness · 21/02/2014 08:52

I'm sporting the 4 boob look in my 36FF at the mo (need to sort that out - no idea what size I am). Usually take it off in the house. Would never wear a bra in bed. If they were smaller (or perkier) I wouldn't wear one at all.

Bunbaker · 21/02/2014 08:58

No. Until I joined mn I didn't know women did.

Perky 32B here, and would pass the pencil test with flying colours.

Lizzylou · 21/02/2014 09:06

I wear old maternity bras, so no wires. 34g.
Just keeps them where they should be.
And yes, I also read what HMC did, if it is good enough for Marilyn...

hmc · 21/02/2014 09:12

Twonoisyboys - it doesn't increase your risk of breast cancer. Do a little light googling (as Offred should have before posting that)

FruitbatAuntie · 21/02/2014 09:13

God no, I would be very uncomfy trying to sleep in a bra. I'm only a 32B, when not BF I revert to a 32A, so I suppose I might feel differently if I had huge norks. But then again I hate feeling constricted - I can't wear tight clothes, polo necks, watches etc.

jesy · 21/02/2014 09:13

I'm a 34 gg and I wear one always have I feel funny if I am not wearing one.

TeaandHobnobs · 21/02/2014 09:16

I have worn a genie bra (soft bra - no wires or seams) in bed since I was pregnant with DS (now nearly 2). I went up to 32/34 when breastfeeding so not only did I need somewhere to put breast pads, I couldn't stand them flopping about in the night!
Now I've finished breastfeeding they have regained a bit if fat and feel a bit firmer, but I still prefer to have them stay in one place at night Grin

TeaandHobnobs · 21/02/2014 09:17

32/34 G that should have said!

Apatite1 · 21/02/2014 09:20

Wearing a bra at night does not increase your risk of breast cancer!

TinyTwoTears · 21/02/2014 09:20

I hate not wearing a bra, I like to feel supported at all times.

Another one with the wrong size bra on. I looked through my drawer and every bra in there is a different size!

beginnings · 21/02/2014 09:20

Like slh22 the only reason they're in my bra at night is to contain breast pads. The main reason I need DD2 to sleep through is so that I can go back to no bra at night!

ChoccyDigestive82 · 21/02/2014 09:23

Noooooo

Plus I find my bra wires break too easily if I sleep in them

Taxpanicmum · 21/02/2014 09:27

I don't wear bras at all, haven't for about two years and am infinitely more comfy without one than with one. I am a 36 C and cannot see any benefits in wearing a bra for everyday life (might consider one for special occasions ie evening wear/ cocktail dress tripe scenario but these never arise these days). So no, deffo no bra at night, cannot think of anything more uncomfortable!!
