I don't think I've actually just 'dated' anyone - how do you meet someone nice??

I'm 34 now, out of a long term (6 years) relationship that wasn't all that good -

But I don't want to be alone, or want to get straight back into a long term relationship - so how do you date??

I have never really dated but I signed up to POF a day ago and it seems ok on there.
