So today i thought i would surprise my wife by getting some flowers sent to the school she works in. I ordered them first thing this morning and i have just received a message from interflora wanting to cancel my order because they are too busy! i wish they had told me 4 hrs ago.

just venting anger because now she is going to be disappointed.

any ideas for making it up?

About a million people are ordering flowers for Valentines. It makes sense to not leave it to the last minute.

At least she got them OP. What a lovely romantic gesture. She will be thrilled and especially as they were delivered to the school. My husband gave me my beautiful bouquet in bed this morning with a box of chocolates, card and a cup of tea. I love romantic men!

i know a few have said that i should order earlier but inter flora confirmed the order when i placed it and took my money!

i will just place a more timely order with a local florist next year.

back home now. DW is very happy and the flowers were brought to her in an assembly so a fuss was made!

the quote on the card was.

"Doubt thou the stars are fire, Doubt that the sun doth move, Doubt truth to be a liar, But never doubt I love"

and on that shakespearean note i guess its alls well that ends well. :)

expect for interflora who i will deal with on monday. Wink

That's lovely. Happy Valentine's to you both.

They seriously brought her flowers in and interrupted the assembly? That's a bit unprofessional at the school I'd say. Wouldn't it have been better to deliver them to reception that she could get afterwards?

ScooseIsLoose · 14/02/2014 18:35

that's lovely glad it all worked out for you Grin

IAmNotAMindReader · 14/02/2014 18:42

The reception probably made the decision to interrupt the assembly kinky not the OP.

kinky. its end of term and they were not presented to her! just brought in and the children were asking what were they for, so it was nice.
