About to kill DH

Am severely pre-menstrual and about to leave house to go to a christening. Major persuasion job on DS as he wants to stay home and play with new toys (5th b'day yesterday). So bath DS and get him sorted. Have to then help DH get dressed - he has no clue about clothes other than accountancy wear. Tha done rusing about trying to wrap present and DH appears with horrible shoes to wear. I say not those please. He re-apperas with black office shoes. At which point DS says "I'm hungry" and I lose the plot. Cue slamming doors and trowing my mobile on table. Have said not going now and that they are both driving me insane.

Bloody HELL - how I am not going top kill somoneone today I do not know.

Seriously, calm down take a deep breath, stick a smile on your face and ask dh can you start the day again. I doubt he was deliberately trying to wind you up with the shoe thing.

It's the looks I get back and they deep sighs - bloody makes me want to stab him!

Am having time out - I'm here anren't I??

Then have just checked Aer Lingus webiste to discover all their cheap seats have gone at Xmas - booked out-bound but was waiting for fishface to decide where he wanted to go after Dublin and when he needs to be back in office. so now all cheap seats bloody expensive!

Ok go and get some chocolate and go back to bed!

Well went to christening - missed the church bit but a friend txt'd me to see where we were. Got to party at house - marquee, caterers, bouncy castle in field across road etc. Was enveloped ina group of friends - one sent her DH to get me a glass of "medicinal" bubbly straight away!. Avoided DH for a while and all was OK. Decided with other friends whose DHs were all driving that boys would head home with children and girls would stay on drinking copious amounts of champagne and follow later. JUST as boys about to leave with children the clown showed up!!!! So of course children not leaving. All home together after clown show. REalise getting into car that DS has walked in dog poo. Remove shoes. Discover walked in it in bare feet too.

Home.

I get job of sorting shoes. DH takes DS for bath. Wants of wash DS hair. Which was washed earlier. WTF?? I am now a bad mummy for not washing his hair twice in one day????????

I need another drink!!!

DH now sober and I am not. He is cooking and acting all holier than thou as not drinking.

Bah HUMBUG!!!!!!!!

I swear if I stabbed him no court would convict me - would they?????

No court would convict you on grounds of PMT.. ..!

Must admit I feel the same today..If I hear one more word about "pregnancy hormones" I to will murder.

crazydazy · 06/08/2006 21:49

Get yarself some prozac love, worked for me - I am so laid back when its that time of the month and feel so much better for it. DP swears he would have left if I hadn't found prozac.

MrsSpoon · 06/08/2006 21:53

I do believe that there is a chance that you could get off pleading insanity due to PMT.

HappyDaddy · 07/08/2006 09:54

I'd love to read a "my dw has PMT" thread, I really would.

edam · 07/08/2006 10:06

Hope you are feeling better today. Talking of men and clothes, caught dh this morning about to leave for the office wearing a jumper FFS. Already had sweat stains on it! Idiot. Made him change, no doubt he'll be wingeing tonight that he was late. Grrr.
