Two nights ago dh was tossing and turning. After pretending to be asleep i finally sat up and we were small talking. He kept looking at me kind of funny and eventually he said 'I have to say this to you' So I waited and he then asked ' is there something going on between you and --?'
It nearly blew me away... what???!!! I have to add that -- is 18years old and I'm nearly 40 and not a very attractive nearly 40 year old either!!

This 18year old is also my sons best friend! why would you even think this! i'm rarely alone with him, he calls once maybe twice a week, He is a nice young lad but thats it.. he's polite and the most we say is pleasantries!!

He's told me because I've been so distant lately and I was stressed out he thought maybe it was because I was covering it up!

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!

If you had listened to me over the last few months, hone, you'd know that I've been telling you about some serious family issues (other family members not our family!) I've been telling you how upset I am about them and the reason I'm stressed out is because I'm not able to talk to my friends about it as i've been asked specifically not to!!!

14 years we're married and together 22 give me some credit and at least suggest an adult not a baby!! if you've listened to me over the last 22 years you would know that I have NO interest in YOUNGER BABY BOYS!!!

and Breathe......

rant over

He does feel a little daft now but can't really give me examples of why he thought this! It was just a feeling... at least his mind is at ease now!
He slept like a baby last night!

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

Weren't you even mildly tempted to say 'yes... I've been shagging him daily... ' with suitably arched Hmm eyebrows?

They always sleep like a baby when they've got something off their chest.

Some might say, why suggest this, does he have something to be guilty about?

More importantly OP a trouble shared and all that, if you don't disclose some identifiable details you can always offload on MN Wink.

I'm just in disbelief really!! I've loads of things I would of said afterwards but glad I didn't it was seriously disturbing him. I'd give him some credit if we were having cups of tea together and things like that. Well i suppose I did give him some dinner one day.. total giveaway!!
