How do you like your men BUILT?

I've always liked mine lean and muscular, like a swimmer. Which is a shame because I've only ever been with one guy who was ripped with a 6-pack and that was when I was in high school! Don't think it'll ever happen now, though, unless I get can DP to the gym!

I also have a thing for broad shoulders! Like the cartoonish V-shape of wide shoulders and a slim waist, yum!

Solid, with big arms. No six packs though that's horrid. Luckily DH fits the bill nicely.

Routergirl · 17/01/2014 10:38

I just fancy my husband. I don't find other men attractive. I just have eyes for him.

Strawberrykisses · 17/01/2014 10:39

I've gone out with short stocky men, my stbxh is average height and basically round, my current partner is 6 foot tall and built like a jockeys whip.

I think I prefer slimmer men though. Snakey hips and cheekbones. Lovely. My DP fits the bill very nicely.

TheBookofRuth · 17/01/2014 10:42

Tall, broad shoulders, on the big side. I'm suspicious of men with great bodies - don't want to be with anyone vainer than me - and very slim chaps make me nervous I'll break them!

MillyRules · 17/01/2014 10:44

Broad shoulders narrow hip. Strong and naturally muscular. Dark hair. Deep voice.....sigh....Wink

bit of stubble, shortish.

MrsBungle · 17/01/2014 10:59

I'm not bothered, I've fancied all sorts in my time!

Bonsoir · 17/01/2014 11:00

Tall and strong!

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici · 17/01/2014 11:04

I like chunky men. Not flabby or huge beer bellies (we cantBOTH have one or we wouldnt be able to reach each other Wink ) but chunky. Solid. Very broad. Strong. Big hands. Taller than me which is not hard cos im about five foot bugger all.

I dont like skinny men. Thin and scrawny doesnt do it for me. I want to feel like they could scoop me up and run up the stairs.

Tbf, theyd probably need to be a mean green hulking machine or the poor sod would put his back out.

TheRealCarrieBradshaw · 17/01/2014 11:11

Skinny men make me ill, sorry!

I like broad, almost verging on tubby for a man, don't find the attraction with muscles at all Hmm

Dahlen · 17/01/2014 11:11

I don't really have a type, but I don't tend to find very thin men attractive on first meeting, though sexual attraction is based purely on appearance it's on animation as well for me.

MadBusLady · 17/01/2014 11:16

Skinny but good arms and chest, not too tall. Very big tall broad men are a total turn-off for me.

Good point about animation too. The walk is important.

MadBusLady · 17/01/2014 11:18

I always think these threads would be quite heartening for a single man to read, because we all like such different types.

I sort of wish they'd start a corresponding one in Dadsnet but maybe that would just get bunfighty.

cantthinkofagoodone · 17/01/2014 11:20

Broad shoulders, nice arms, nice bum and thighs. Kind eyes and face.

craftynclothy · 17/01/2014 11:20

Not muscle-y but also not really skinny except Spencer Reid
Dark hair or bald
Not 'pretty'

Lweji · 17/01/2014 11:21

I like nice muscular legs. I'm not so picky with the rest.

WoodBurnerBabe · 17/01/2014 11:22

I like them tall and big - not fat, but definitely cuddly. All protective, like a big bear.

DH is just perfect :-)

slug · 17/01/2014 11:58

Swimmers do have the best bodies. But I tend to end up with tall skinny types. Apart from the hair colour, this is the spitting image of DH

I excuse my fascination with Dr Brian Cox to my daughter on the basis that I have a thing for tall, skinny scientists. After all, I am married to one. Wink

MrsOakenshield · 17/01/2014 12:03

dark, slim/lean, not too tall (as I am a shortie). And fortunately DH is all these things. Hate overly pumped up, yeuch.

Slebs I fancy tend toward this though taller - Richard Armitage, Matthew McFadyen (though he's big these days), Aiden Turner.

Squirrelsmum · 17/01/2014 12:06

Solid build with broad shoulders and strong arms, narrow hips, cute little butt and strong legs. DH has the "perfect" body builder measurements, well apart from the belly anyway. Weird posture.

GemmaTeller · 17/01/2014 12:08

Tall, strong and well built (not fat and not over muscular).

DH is perfect, 6ft 2 and 16/17 stone against little old 5ft 2 me Smile

Chopsypie · 17/01/2014 12:11

I like them quite fat and hairy. Preferably with a beard.
DH is the sexiest man I know, he's 6ft4 and around 20 stone.

FruitOwl · 17/01/2014 12:15

Built like a Hairy Biker. OH pleases me greatly!

villagegossip · 17/01/2014 12:18

Tall (as i'm 6ft in heels) and well built. Prefer chunky to slim - I like manly men.

DP is very tall and is the fittest 41 year old i've ever seen Wink
smug cah
