Bit of background, partner and I have been together 8 years, brief spells apart but all our issues have been sorted in the last 18 months and we have been happier than ever. 1 child and one on the way.

This morning I had to clear the history on the laptop for something, I noticed a few odd things in the history that totally freaked me out, so my partner had been looking at craiglist, first jobs (he wants a new one) then xboxes, then there are 2 links, one for something called Chav Boxers, when I click on it its of a man in pants who is selling his used boxers, the other is called Chav lads, and its male escorts and actually has pictures of willies. He appears to have spent less than a minute looking at them and then moved on to a few more normal things, this was done on his phone, which also shows as history on the laptop. He has left his phone here and is at work, if I looked at the history on his phone it shows nothing at all from what I can see on the laptop.

This has come so out of the blue, I have never in all the years together discovered anything like this, I am trying to get my head together and wondering if hes clicked on it by accident? or if there is some other explanation, I dunno, but wondering if I should confront him or not?

He spent less than a minute? Random curiosity at available links, and quick decision that it wasn't worth lingering.

Sounds like a non-issue to me.

Are you sure your issues are truly resolved, if you react like this to less than a minute spent on a slightly dodgy web page?

CakeExpectations · 08/01/2014 09:09

Think you need to talk to him. There could easily be a reasonable explanation.

I fear that anyone looking at my history may get a shock - but most of the dodgy stuff I've viewed has been from links on MN threads!

I reckon that his reaction when you ask the question will tell you all you need to know. Hoping that it's innocent curiosity, or having a laugh, rather than anything dodgy. Good luck OP.

Non issue, I click on links all the time to think WTF. Latest one was vaginal knitting!!!! Someone checking my history would probably have fit.

I wouldn't worry either. Might even have been a link from an email or WhatsApp message. I find the bizzarest things on my photo stream that have automatically downloaded from group messages.

Hi op

Showed my dh the male escort site I was perusing the other night Blush due to a thread on mn I spent a very happy half hour reading all the profiles, some even out loud. My dh just rolls his eyes, I'm quite partial in a moment of boredom to looking up the American pen pal sites for prisoners now there's an eye opener.

I get bored and end up on all sorts nothing in it my dh knows what I'm like and he knows my passwords for everything mainly because stupidly it's the same one probably.

eBay used to do a roaring trade in selling soiled underwear and tights someone was making a small fortune not there.

Not me I hasten to add Hmm

Thanks for the responses, maybe I overreacted a bit, tears and everything, but then again I am pregnant!

Guess will have a word tonight, its just so unlike him, he must have clicked on the links as I can see what else he clicked on, and that he would be curious about those links freaked me out a bit, I didnt actually look how long he had been looking at the links till about half hour after I have discovered it. Shall update when hes in from work....

If a link to chav boxers came up while I was browsing I'd probably click it out of nosiness.

OP - just trying to put this into perspective for you because there are at least 19 Mumsnetters who clicked on a link yesterday to look at a picture of a large penis including me

Curiosity obviously got the better of some of us and there were loads of others who would have clicked given the chance had the thread not been deleted Wink

At the time it was just a bit of fun but if my husband spotted it in our browsing history then I think he would be quite hurt by it tbh.

Sounds pretty innocent to me too. I come across all kinds of weird shit on the internet. Don't we all?

Ok now I have to google vaginal knitting.

OP I wouldn't worry, I click on loads of stuff just out of curiosity.
