RELATE in Scotland? Are there any??

M2T · 03/03/2004 12:48

i just looked on the RELATE website and can't find any in Scotland. The nearest was in Berwick-Upon-Tweed!!!

Surely there is help for us Scottish people.

In Scotland Relate is known as Couple Counselling. Their web site is here . From memory, you are in Fife or thereabouts - they have sessions in Kirkaldy, Leven, Dunfermline and St Andrews - but the way their web site is set up, I couldn't send you straight there.

Hope that helps!

M2T · 03/03/2004 13:52

Thanks Janz. I'll have a look now.

I'll ignore your implication that I'm a Fifer!

Only kidding, I'm in Falkirk.

.... sorry!

I did say "or thereabouts"!

Is it Demented who is Fifer?

M2T · 03/03/2004 14:45

Nope she's about 20 miles north of me. Dunno who it is.

I checked the website and there is a centre just a mile from my house! Fantastic. I'll phone them on Friday and find out the waiting list for appointments. Thanks very much for that.

Arrrrgh!!!! I am NOT a Fifer!!!!

Sorry just had to get that out my system! I just happen to live here!

Gomez · 03/03/2004 14:52

Well I am a FIFER, but just happen to not live there any more!! What is wrong with us anyway

M2T · 03/03/2004 14:54

SSSSSH everyone!!..... there's a Fifer on the thread....

Demented - thought you lived north of Stirling?

Gomez · 03/03/2004 14:56

You won't get rid of me that easy M2T - I have been lurking for weeks now and am starting to get my courage up to post all over the place!!!!!!

JanZ · 03/03/2004 15:01

....oops, didn't mean to start anything!

I went to Uni in Fife, and loved it - even though I am a Weegie and proud of it!

Demented · 03/03/2004 15:01

What is it they say? 'It taks a long spoon to sup wae a Fifer' or words to that effect!

Only joking, I love it here, M2T I'm originally from just north of Stirling I am now in Dunfermline.

I've just read your other thread M2T and can't add to the good advice you have been given but just wanted to say that I hope everything works out OK.

Demented · 03/03/2004 15:02

Are you still in Scotland Gomez?

M2T · 03/03/2004 15:04

Oh Jeeeeeeeesus help! A Fifer AND a Weegie!???

Thanks Demented... I'm sure it'll get better once I get over this initial feeling of shock and disappointment.

OP posts:
Gomez · 03/03/2004 15:05

Indeed Demented - I am now in Stirling, although only moved here fairly recently from Edinburgh. What a small world!

M2T apologies for highjacking your serious question. Hope you can find the assistance you are looking for.

Gomez · 03/03/2004 15:07

Weegie? Who is the soap-dodger fae the West? And those Bairns are in no position to throw stones.

M2T · 03/03/2004 15:09

Thats okay Gmoez. I'm from Stirling and only moved to Falkirk about 3 yrs ago. I loved it there, but then I was living a student lifestyle!

Stirling has the best restaurants compared to Falkirk. If anyone is thinking of starting a business up then Falkirk could really do with some decent eateries!
My local used to be Drouthy Neebors. Had to stop going when I realised all the staff, the folk band and all the bouncers knew me on 1st name terms and would comment if I hadn't been in for a a couple of nights!

Only been out in Stirling twice M2T - and then got up the duff and so began living a virteous lifestyle. But not long to go and then I can explore the delighs of the Fu Bar

M2T · 03/03/2004 15:36

Oh you slapper..... 2 nights out in Stirling and thats you pregnant.

Ah the FuBar, Wednesday nights are particularly appealing with their cheap entry (pardon the pun) good drinks promos.... but beware.... it's like grab-a-grandad night!
I used to live in a flat just across from there. NIGHTMARE!

Yeah and DH thinks it is his!! The fool he should know that I can't be trusted after a bottle of Bombay Sapphire!

M2T · 03/03/2004 15:50

A whole bottle? I'm anyones after half a bottle of wine.
