OD - that first message

Recently started OD and I'm ok responding when men message me first, but not sure what to put when I do the approaching.

The ones draped over a motorbike or holding fish Hmm don't appeal - the guys I like generally just have a head/shoulders shot so not much to comment on from their photo and mentioning that I like wood turning, or whatever, too, just sounds boring.

Anyone got anything more interesting they'd be prepared to share with me?

I'd just say hello!

Best tactic is to mimic the messages that appeal to you.

So if you like a cheesy chat up line, use one. You'll be likely to have a match if he responds well to that.

Likewise, if you think it is thoughtful when someone brings up something on your profile, do the same for them.

I just like a simple hello (seems least contrived to me) and so that's how I start!

Thanks Arcadian - will try that.

Respond to something in the profile, whatever it was caught your eye.
