Feeling invisible .....wave at a mate!

Reprint · 22/10/2013 20:31

Following on from Trish's good idea (and by request) this thread is the place to play 'bag a buddy' 'wave at a mate' or 'grab someone else's grip for a minute'

The original idea from the invisble thread was that it would be a brilliant idea if people had a friend they could pair up with ....just so someone is going to wave at you when you feel down.
It needed a thread.
This is it .....................

I've done some housework and got showered and dressed.

I don't remember there being soft play when my kids were little, thankfully.

MrsCakesPremonition · 23/10/2013 14:02

Late to the thread as ever Sad and a bit confused with all the waving about who has already buddied up and who hasn't yet.
So, just to be on the safe side - I'll wave at everyone and see who comes along next...

ChairmanWow · 23/10/2013 14:06

Blimey this thread moves fastt! Erm, belated wave to kikithecat and thanks to uncomfortablydumb (great name!) for dragging me in. I think the whiplash is wearing off now. Not really MNing much today because of kids underfoot, but as there was mention of gin, we have some sloe gin infusing nicely in t'cupboard under the stairs. If you hang on a few weeks I'll crack it open and we can all have a glass. Schlurp!

UncomfortablyDumb · 23/10/2013 14:12

Sorry bout that Wow I can offer a winnie the pooh plaster if it will help Grin

I'm clearly missing out on this sloe gin malarkey. Gin always gave me terrible headaches although come to think of it that could have been the quantities

(Does anybody on this thread have any advice regarding a Big Shot? My thread in Arts and Crafts is getting no where)

Grennie · 23/10/2013 14:28

Hi everyone. I thought you already had a buddy Iaminvisible?

There is a nice chat thread in feminism as well, called The Feminist Pub. Lots of chocolate biscuits and alcohol available, and a fully staffed creche.

IamInvisisble · 23/10/2013 14:30

I'm waving at everyone, Grennie I don't want anyone to feel left out!

HaroldLloyd · 23/10/2013 14:32

Sauce I can see it, bless! Thats exactly the vision I am seeing at home today, muchos snot and grumpiness and demands for Peppa Pig.

I give you GoatPeter, the patron saint of invisbles everywhere.

Waves to Fenton and Boo. Im waving so much today I might have to purchase one of those giant comedy waving hands - youd think the Queen would have thought of that already.

WitchesCatAmongThePhantoms · 23/10/2013 14:32

Someone mentioned sloe gin- I'll be the official gin taster for the thread. Grin

HaroldLloyd · 23/10/2013 14:34

Forgot to confirm that I bloody love Sloe Gin.

RaisingthedeadArizona · 23/10/2013 14:54

Waves at *LetsFaceTheMusic". When was your op? How are you feeling? I hope you're not too sore and are managing to get some rest during the day.

Am back from the round the world blood test trip. Was surprisingly quiet and I was all done and dusted in 5 mins. The blood-taking woman was v surprised that my GP don't do them any more.

Hope you didn't get poured on when you went out for your daily walk. It's v v showery oop in Yorkshire.

PerpendicularVincentPrice · 23/10/2013 15:26

Raisingthedead whereabouts in Yorkshire are you? I miss the North Grin

Does it get any better?

Bunraku · 23/10/2013 16:00

perpendicular no need to be ashamed! I just wondered how pool staff actually get rid, they can't possibly just pull the plug surely.

Suppose one was an octopus, does that entitle them to eight buddies? Grin

WitchesCatAmongThePhantoms · 23/10/2013 16:02

It's gorgeously sunny here in the south west after a seriously wet and windy start.

School run is done and I've even got the dinner on, DH is snuggling up with the DC before work so I'm free to MN.

LetsFace I hope you recover quickly. Flowers

IamInvisisble · 23/10/2013 16:03
