Help for friend in split situation

My friend is struggling after the break up of her marriage, 12 years and 3 kids. He's being really nasty. Awkward about child care arrangements, wont plan ahead. Trying to take the house away from her paying maintenance irregularly and now parading his new girlfriend in front of the kids all weekend! I know this story is nothing new. Surely someone has written a book about how to cope... How can I support her?

Thanks nellie, this is what I've said. She has just been in touch with a solicitor, I was just wanting something for her! Surely someone who's been there has written about the lessons they learnt?
