Honestly, this is agony.

20yrs together, two teenaged daughters, one trial period at college for dd1 that can't be disrupted and a seperation on hold. He's so miserable it's impossible to live with him but I'm terrified of a future without him.

I'm so scared of what our future holds.

How do I make this easier? Can I ask him to sign the house over to me? I paid for it! How should I go about that? I don't even know where the deeds are.

Are you married? When you say 'you paid for the house' do you mean you were the major earner, or bought it outright, or what? If it's mortgaged then the mortgage company have the deeds. Let's take this one step at a time!
