Really having a strange time of it with dh's family. We've been a close family and have always got on well with mil and she has always been there to help me out as Dh works away a hell of a lot! We always used to go over for dinner one night a week, she would look after my kids at the drop of a hat! We've always got on. My sil (40 odd) has come back to live with her she has no kids, no bf and never married! She has a good job but everytime we try to talk to her she acts as though she's the only person to work in the world she also has ocd! My Dh can't cope with her and I've gone the same way! So we've just drifted away to allow mil and sil just to get on with their things! Mil and sil have become very distant with us so I've deliberately not asked them to help in anyway! Mil said the other day she missed the kids so Dh said reinstating the one night a week dinner to whih she said no. It's dds bday coming up so I suggested my mil takes her to build a bear over the phone. My sil heard and said no she can't cope with the shop so mil backed down! A month ago Dh asked mil to look after kids for the night as we wanted to go out. The kids excited about a sleepover but mil announced yesterday that she wanted to bring kids back that night so we phoned at 11pm that night and they said to hurry up back home so they could drop kids off! Dh was seething! However, this is the bit that I don't get mil said we will take kids after dds b'day making a big issue as though we've stopped her. I said I've never stopped you from ever seeing them. I would never hurt or upset them. Sorry such a long one
