my dentist touched an ignored part in my heart

Hi,
I just went to the dentist recently and he was so good and cool. He didn't play music during my treatment and I loved it because his voice was a real music talking to me at every step as a patient. I know he is only doing his job but he do it with love and care and that what made his visit so good. Anyway, I cannot deny he made my week because I felt someone in this world is so caring and soft. The moment he touched my lips and cheek to wipe them , he touched an ignored part in my heart. I had no real love or relation before. That day I wanted to hug him warmly to say thanks you recognized me as a human who deserve gentle care. When I went back home , he was in my thoughts as a good caring person . I want to thank him by sending a card or gift. Is it appropriate? I just want to appreciate his goodness. What do you think?

Regards

I bit my dentist once. That'll teach the sod.

My plumber is very very good looking, lovely body and such a nice guy.

I do find myself ridiculously happy when I need a plumbing job done - it's just not normal Grin

Onebuddhaisnotenough · 29/09/2013 12:20

My washing machine repair man got me in a right lather and spin. My adoration died when the £200 repair lasted 4 days.....

Xollob · 29/09/2013 12:26

Fantastic first post OP Grin.

Don't get too carried away with this thread and forget to finish your homework though.

holstenlips · 29/09/2013 12:28

Chipping :-)

Xollob · 29/09/2013 12:29

Oh, someone's already made the homework quip [disappointed].

Yes, why's everyone giving dentists chocolate? Surely a small square of cheese or one of those 'orrid inter-dental brushes would be more appropriate.

DropYourSword · 29/09/2013 12:31

Sounds very through. Mine stops when he reaches the tonsils.

DropYourSword · 29/09/2013 12:33

God dammit, I meant thorough!

Xollob · 29/09/2013 12:57

[Grin] Dropyour

Xollob · 29/09/2013 12:57

A bloke writes: My dentist has a navel ring with a bell on it. I can hear it jingling when she has to attack unusually hard plaque.

Mmm.

WorldPeaceAndFreeProsecco · 29/09/2013 13:20

A bloke writes?

Does it make a difference to your posting if you have a penis? How odd.

Should we applaud?

expatinscotland · 29/09/2013 13:23

Why have I never had a hot dentist? I feel robbed! I had a hot surgeon once, who became a climbing partner to my then h, who was also very hot. Years later, I ran into him in Europe and whaddya know? We were both divorced. Aw! So I finally got to fuck him! It was great!

stilldazed · 29/09/2013 13:23

It is funny but I can totally understand.

I went to order a cake for DS birthday last weekend and I couldn-t decide between 2 different types of cake. The owner of the shop was so lovely and patient and just reminded me of a lovely wise mum that I nearly started crying in the shop. it depends a lot what is going on in your life, some people can just really touch you when you are least expecting it.

take car OP

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 29/09/2013 13:24

It kind of makes sense, in that a lot of people would get nauseated confused over the idea of a female poster perving over a man's jangly belly button piercing. Grin Vive la difference.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 29/09/2013 13:54

WorldPeaceAndFreeProsecco

Thanks for the offer, but I already have all the applause for it I need.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 29/09/2013 13:57

If he touched a place in your heart, he's a cardiac surgeon not a dentist.

Next time, avoid A&E with a dental problem.

Good for you expat Grin

WiddleAndPuke · 29/09/2013 14:04

No. He'll realise you're deranged and possibly refuse to treat you any more.

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 29/09/2013 16:40

Some of you are being cynical and potentially cruel

missbopeep · 29/09/2013 16:52

Is English not your first language- there are some rather odd grammatical errors in your post.

I think you mean you want to 'show your appreciation'-or rather show your thanks - not appreciate his goodness'- which you are clearly doing already.

Just a thought if you do send that card so he doesn't misunderstand your intentions

Sleepyhoglet · 29/09/2013 17:15

How about a thank you, I will recommend you type card.

Xollob · 29/09/2013 18:56

Jamie some of us have been here a long time, that's why

Pagwatch · 29/09/2013 19:13

I think Jamie has been here a while too. She sees it differently.
By all means ignore her but suggesting that she is new or naive is unnecessary.
