I've been married for nearly 18 years, with 8 year old ds, most of them happy so I thought. Ups and downs but real problems started 3 months ago and now my husband has said he is leaving and is looking for a rental house tomorrow. I'm so upset and angry and cannot see how I move forward. Help please

That much be a shock huh?! Has he explained to you reasons why? Seems very sudden of was there a build up to this?

Is there a chance he would consider marriage guidance? ?

If he leaves what about your child? Access etc?
What about finances?

Its only fair and reasonable if the lists above are discussed prior to him going?

Generally speaking most rentals take time to process so I doubt he would be able to go straight away anyway. Then nightmare scenario would be living under same roof til he goes. :(

Think you just need space, take some you time in this period and see what you want and more of dealing with a life without him

I'm sorry this has happened to you. The problem with being in your position is that he will have been working up to this moment for a lot longer than three months, whereas for you it must feel like it's come completely out of the blue. Has he given any reason?

Probably has someone else so you need to look at protecting yourself and the DC financially and legally. Google Olgaga for her advice blog for those in your situation, and you need to collect statements, mortgage info, salary slips and so on.
