Sex after C section

Just curious, how long did you wait? Smile

I had a cat 1 c section 2 weeks ago and me and my partner had a go last night but he had to be very gentle cause I was scared it'd hurt my belly!

Maybe the question should be how long til it was comfortable and then back to normal? Smile

Think it's advised to wait 6wks until you stop bleeding and all is healed-you don't want to be straining tummy muscles that are seen together too early!

Good for you if you were up for it so early-I know I was exhausted-plus DD was feeding morning noon and night so wasn't up to being touched by someone else!

Sewn not seen...

Whenever you are ready. Take it gently at first. You might find no sensation to start with but give it time. From a fellow c sectioner. Xx

We had a go at 5 weeks post cs, I was nervous but it went fine!

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2013 22:58

Just short of 6 weeks which went OK but was plenty soon enough!

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 21/09/2013 23:15

Roughly 5 weeks for us.

As long as you're comfortable with it and not at it like a jack hammer then I think you'll be fine Smile

MamaPingu · 22/09/2013 01:43

Yeah definitely being careful! I imagine it won't be better until around the 6 week mark though when I dare move instead of panicking I'm gonna damage my scar! Smile

3 weeks. Baby was a asleep. Those opportunities don't happen that often

10 weeks after emergency section, 6 weeks after electve. After the elctve I felt I could have done it earlier, but I think waiting until the six week check is always advisable.

Same as mrsmartin - 3wee,s. sleeping baby. I was terrified though!
