my friend has split from her dp and she has now the morgage to her self she has twin girls just over 1.
About 10 mins ago i had a call from a morgage lender telling me my friend had given them my name and number to see if i was intrested in a morgage with them we are with a housing association so their is no way we would.

Feel really at this as she isnt even a good close friend used to go to school with her and she lives on my mom and dads road just some one i chat to if i see her, just cant beleave she handed out our number i wouldnt put anyone in that predicament

I would tell her in no uncertain terms NOT to give out your number again and add that it's also illegal to give out numbers with permission.

It might also be an idea to ask if she has given your number to anyone else.

whats really pissed me off is that dp and my mom both think its fine as they might of said give us so many numbers and if they take out a mrgage with us then we will give you off your morgage.

i am so pissed that she gave it out.

I'd imagine that the mortgage lender are probably giving introduction fees and therefore your friend has probably given out all the numbers she has. I'd definitely tell her it's not on, but tbh I think she probably did it harmlessly.
