WWYD de-friending annoying SIL on FB

My SIL (wife of STBXH's brother) lives the other side of the world. They have 2 young girls who are cousins to my 2 young girls. SIL is an odious spoilt brat and I have almost nothing in common with her, find her shallow and difficult to get on with (when we visit she drives me crazy). Never normally speak or mesage except 5 mins on Xmas Day. Feelings are of course running high right now. But she keeps posting about the political party she is an activist for on the other side of the world. Literally at least five pictures/slogans/messages PER DAY. I have tried unsubscribing to her messages to no avail. Since I split with STBXH she has sent me one very shallow message, which was more about here 'you're the only SIL I've got' seemed to be the main thrust of it. I replied out of kindness. Heard nothing since (weeks ago). I am desperate to de-friend her. Any advice????????? Can I???? Please??????

It's really up to you. You could try hiding her political comments from your wall feed and taking her off and groups so you don't get priority messages from her.

STBXH - does that mean soon to be ex husband? I'm guessing so but not great with forum speak :)

If so...then I'd just block her personally (which will also defriend her - woop!) but I don't get on with my ex husband and we don't speak apart from to do with our children, so having nothing to do with his famnily wouldn't bother me.

Apologies if I've got it all wrong though and STBXH means something else entirely!

Ah..... did a little bit more fiddling with this: went to settings and went 'no updates'.

Job done!!!
