I love my husband and being away from him sucks. I'm miles away in Russia visiting my brother and DH is back home in the UK.

I'm kind of romantic and I want to do something for him and show that I love and miss him. I was thinking love letters as it's traditional but I don't want it to be cheesy and I think he'd get bored of the same 'ol I miss you letters.

Was wondering if anyone had any letter ideas that have meanings behind them??

My first one I'll be sending is a paper origami rose in red and white which means unity of two people. Should I stick the with origami thing?

What have you done for your DH/DP when been away from them? Maybe I can draw ideas from you Grin.

Ah this makes a nice change from the usual threads on here!

For the last 40 days of my pregnancy I gave my husband a little envelope with a piece of card inside, one a day, with 40 reasons why I knew he'd make a wonderful dad. It was sort of like a countdown. With 30 days to go he got reason number 30, with 29 days to go it was reason number 29 etc. a countdown type thing until you see each other again could be one idea ?

I do like that but the mail is unreliable at best and may receive day 23 before day 27! Haha. Great idea though! I'm also PG so I'll save that idea for my last 40 days! :)

If you're good at origami, you could fold the letters to make hearts?

I read in take a break that this woman had sexy pictures of herself turned into jigsaws and sent her bf a different piece each week. I wouldn't do that personally, but she seemed delighted with it.

A soppy romantic bloke writes: get a small glass bottle, blow a kiss into it, seal it and send with a request to return the favour.

I used to do this when I was out in the HGV in the days bfore mobile phones. We'd exchange them before a trip.

Riot - That's kinky. An unusual thing to do something I would do but taking nudes in my brother's home seems too weird and uncomfortable for me! Blush.

Disgrace - That is sloppy but I do love the idea and I think DH would love the creativity and thought behind it. :)
