Posting as confused/ annoyed/ potentially happy ?!

Just went to TESCO to get some bits and bobs and couldn't find bloody paper plates (don't ask!!) and wondered up this aisle and conscious of handsome man staring at me as I try my damn best not to look and he then says, excuse me, can I ask you a question. To which I say yes and he says can you tell me the difference between bio and non bio washing powder!

I couldn't tell him (I know, wtf?!) I got embarrassed and I said I ask my mum that thing and he then said he would too but didn't have his mobile... I said something about needing to go and scurried off as he smiled widely and stared again

He was GORGEOUS . So was he chatting me up?! Am I a fool ?! Oh well!!!

My husband doesn't know or care what the difference is.
I think he wanted an excuse to talk to you.

impatienttobemummy · 27/08/2013 22:15

He was soooo chatting you up!! Who cares what the difference is?! He certainly didnt he just wanted to swoon at you!

Hassled · 27/08/2013 22:16

You so could have pulled in the Tesco paper plates aisle :o.

I think you need to shop in Tesco way more often.

Chaoscarriesonagain · 27/08/2013 22:17

Fuck!! Why did I not let him use my phone ! Am such a dick. He was a dream and this never happens to chaos.

Excuse the language, Am both chirpy that I may have looked ok and mad I didn't grasp it more.

Get back there every evening this week. If he was interested, he'll be there.

sussexmum38 · 27/08/2013 22:41

Chaos what an opportunity has gone for the moment. Let's hope you see him next time and have more confidence as he was obviously attracted to you.

MadeMan · 27/08/2013 22:52

"Get back there every evening this week. If he was interested, he'll be there."

He's not going to spend his evenings just hanging around the paper plates aisle, Tesco security will be on his case. Besides, he probably has a bar job/squash practice/pizza delivery due.

But I admire your optimism. Smile

littleblackno · 27/08/2013 23:11

If it's a small enough town, he'll turn up somewhere. Just make sure you get back here and tell us all about it.

beaglesaresweet · 27/08/2013 23:41

OP, I'm curious how old are you roughly? just to see whether there is a chance for all of us who are well past our 20s Grin

cozietoesie · 27/08/2013 23:43

Aberdeen is not small, sadly.

Chaoscarriesonagain · 28/08/2013 07:28

Not in Aberdeen, far smaller town! Am late ahem 20s!

Woke up annoyed at myself, the nicest looking man approaches me and I run scared. By the law of dating .., does this mean he now likes me more as am a 'challenge'?!

I need to get my coat , over analysing much?!

I just saw a man pass me by in an old red Cortina, he had a brown beard and round glasses. Does that sound like him?

SpottyDottie · 28/08/2013 08:23

Is that chatting up? Then I missed one. A rather nice bloke chatted to me in the supermarket as he couldn't find any cous cous. We eat it so I knew which aisle and how to make it up so chatted to him for a while. I wasn't looking my best either! Thought nothing of it and carried on shopping!!

littleblackno · 28/08/2013 21:50

OMG, After this thread last night something similar happened to me today at the bloody zoo! I got chatting to a nice bloke - he was there alone with his kids, me with mine. Walked away and all I could think was... Doh, why did I not get his number or something!!
I used to be so good at flirting/ chatting up. I'm so out of practice! I spent the rest of the day trying to see if i could see him but I didn't. I also kept thinking about this thread!

cozietoesie · 28/08/2013 21:53

I reckon you dodged a bullet, little.
