Not sure if this is the right place to start this but here goes:

Feel free to judge and mention how stupid I've been (in all honesty i know) but I had unprotected sex two weeks ago, I did take the morning after pill within the first 12 hours AND I will never be such an idiot EVER again.

However I wasn't on the pill and in all honesty cannot remember when my last period was, I stopped taking the pill sometime in July (I think, though it may have been June)

My question is when should i take a pregnancy test.

Thanks in advance

If you take one now it should show an accurate result. Do you have any symptoms?

bubbles2013 · 25/08/2013 00:45

I'm not going to lie i wouldn't know a symptom if it kicked me in the head. I'm not 'in tune' with my body at all. My main fear is taking a test to early and, well yeah.

morning after pills are usually very reliable!
not sure how accurate the test would be after just 2 weeks!

Sparklysilversequins · 25/08/2013 00:54

I've tested ten days after and got positive results both times. With both my dc.

bubbles2013 · 25/08/2013 01:02

I've just been doing a quick search on tinternet and having read the mumsnet guide (and imagining I have ever symptom going) I have found that the NHS says three weeks. Thank you both for your help

OP most women ovulate between day 12 and day 22 of their cycle. If you are pregnant you would have conceived in that time obviously. Your period is due around two weeks after ovulation therefore if you HAVE conceived it will very likely show up now, especially if you use First Response and test first thing in the morning.
