Hot security guy at work.

When the security guard at my work goes on holiday (let's call him Dave), he has a younger, more dashing replacement who has caught my eye (let's call him Mike).

A couple of months ago, Mike started a conversation with me which was very pleasant and we managed to catch each other's names. After that, we exchanged pleasantries and had quick chats on passing in the corridors, but unfortunately Dave's annual leave soon came to an end, and Mike was gone again.

A couple of weeks ago, he reappeared and I was delighted to have some eye candy in the building again! He was talking to a delivery guy outside, so I kept my head down as I was walking to the office. He stopped his conversation and said, "Hi, how are you doing?" This got me very giddy, I must say! Sod's law, he was gone again the next day. SO, I'm thinking, if I ever see him again, should I approach him and ask him to meet up outside of work? Or is that a no no?

Is up to you, for me, it would be a no no, if he wants to see you he'll ask you, certainly sounds like he likes you.

Is this a plot for a story for People's Friend, OP?

OTOH, maybe you are someone with deeper feelings than sizing-up "eye candy". In which case, you might want to develop that for a real relationship ...

Apologies if it has come across cliché ARealDame. I'll try again!

There's a hot guy who works in the same building as me. Should I make a tit of myself and ask him out for coffee? Damn.

Do it! If you were taking about Dave, I'd probably say, not worth it, as you'd have to see him everyday if he said no. But it sounds Like mike could easily be avoided if he said no.

Good luck Smile
