One year anniversary gift

First wedding anniversary coming up in September and am wondering what to buy DH.

I'd love to stick to the traditional gift of 'paper' but wondered if anyone has any outside the box ideas?!

DH is always the best with gifts so want to out do him on this one!

Photobook of special memories.

Actually think the iou idea is a pretty good one.... but gig tickets.... or maybe a framed newspaper from the day you got married?

I got my husband a really nice copy of his favourite book & he got me a voucher for a spa.
MiL got married last year & we're giving her a framed photo of them on their wedding day with the text from one of the readings they had on the day printed around it. Hope that helps!

A framed world map with pins in for all the places you've been together or seperately (different pin colours for each).

You could probably get something personalised from Etsy / Folksy / Notonthehigstreet.com unless you fancy making your own (dead easy - just need a swivel/craft knife and cutting mat)

I got DH a print by an artist he loves.

He bought us tickets. To Venice. It was magical.

I did a collage of honeymoon photos for her and she gave me a book with 365 reasons she loved me written in it

So I've bought the 'Anniversary Book' from Amazon. Write in it every year, add photos and little details to look back on every year. Perfect! :)
