I think my dp may be up to something as I know he is deleting internet history or using private browsing for some reason. Up until now there has been no reason not to trust him but I've suddenly noticed wen I've gone back to find a page I was on the day before he'll have wiped that whole days history!!? I know most wil say its probably porn related but is there any way to tell?

I would expect him to leave the history on the computer, if he says he can not or still deletes it, then I would tell him to go. There is no room for secrets in relationships.

Ask him why he is deleting the history and tell him to stop doing it because you use it to go back to pages you have visited previously?

AuntieStella · 13/08/2013 10:16

Has he always done that?

I delete internet history so people don't see what ridiculous and embarrassing websites I've been looking at. It's not cos I am unfaithful to anyone.

Before you navigate through these paths you MUST first set windows to show hidden files and folders:

Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.

  1. Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options
  1. Click the View tab.
  1. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, uncheck Hide Protected Operating System files (Recommended) and then click OK.

CAUTION: once you are done looking at these folders and file, don?t forget to go back undo these changes.

\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\index.dat
\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\low\index.dat
\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet

Also, in this file you can get the website visited, date visited and time.

To make changes to how the information is displayed, right click on Internet Explorer, go to Properties and under General tab, got to Browsing History and click Settings
