to just feel so stupid

My dad called me and I was pleased that he had bothered as we haven't spoken for a while ( I have called he hasn't returned calls) I thought he genuinely wanted to have a chat with me and ask about the kids etc

But no he just wanted to rant about my sister taking him to task over Somthing he has done with my brother then when he had finished he said he had to go. I thought he actually cared and can't believe that my relationship with my dad has boiled down to him calling me when my sister has done/said Somthing that upsets him

I just feel so sad now :(

Are you close to other members of your family?

Not really anymore - Mum died last year Dads New partner dosnt like him having much contact with his old life friends family of mums etc so no one bothers with me my sis has just ' come out' ans I don't particularly like her partner much either so she is very busy either at work or discovering this new life and my brother has serve ld and lives in residential care. So other than my lovely dh and the kids I don't have anyone. - Which I ld why I was so happy that my das had bothered calling
