Hi Guys,
very reg reader here but not so much a frequent poster,I never feel confident enough to give my opinion...that's another area i need to work on for the future.

I am quite sure I am going to look into hiring a Private investigator to check out my D'Hs online activity,I believe he has secret email accounts and is signed up to dating forums,

Most of you wont agree with me doing this but for the others of you if you have used this type of service before I would be grateful if you could tell me a bit about it and how much it cost you?

ladies I am on my dearist best friends computer for this session.

he works nights and comes in goes on the computer when we are all in bed.I can hear him on it and if I come up from the bedroom he has logged off...I cannot come silently.When I check the history I can see the gaps, I can see from a man who looked at porn 4/5 nights a week previusly he now only looks once a week....(BTW I had no issue with the porn) but I can see now he is gone underground.

I would second the spyware route as being better than the PI route at this point.

FWIW my DM hired a PI around 10 years ago so cost info is likely to be out of date. She paid £50 per hour (in the North of England), he set up a recorder on the home phone and got some photos although it was the telephone recordings that were crucial. All the evidence she could ever need in much less than a days work. I know a lot on here do not agree with PI's but my DM was not at all technology savvy and the guy got her the evidence that she needed to have faith in her instincts after years of my Ddad's lies causing her to lose faith in her own judgement. The PI was also a pretty nice guy, practical and kind - a bit like a funeral director my mum said - well used to this kind of work and the discomfort of it.

i have had a similar experience...unfortunately more than once...i think some men get a buzz out of talking about sex to strangers.
However, before you get a PI which I think is more appropriate for activity outside of cyberspace...you should download a software programme which allows you to monitor what is happening on a computer.
eg webwatcher is great, i have used it myself and it comes with a free trial download. basically it can be installed on a computer but does not show that it is there, you then receive a report sent to your email address of every site visited and every e mail written.
Buying the full programme is quite inexpensive....and will provide you with the information you need.
The only cautionary note I will add, is that you are likely to read message that may turn your stomach... I did and some of them can never be erased from my memory...

I agree though about evidence; it can never be forgotten. If you decide to go ahead with something like this, you should be prepared to act if you find things you don't like.

What is your limit? What if he's talking online but not exchanging pictures? What if he has no plans to meet them? What's your bottom line?

My limit is if he is on dating sites,even if he never met them

yes webwatcher is very user freindly...i have used it ..easy to download..its a reputable programme... they give you a free trial because they want you to buy the full programme...it works

in fact....i have just checked out review sites for this sort of programme and webwatcher is rated very highly.....i know it has worked for me , but thought i should check out other peoples reviews if i was recommending it

Does he always sit in the same place ad use the laptop ? Favourite chair or at a desk ? Might be easier to video record him from an angle that lets you see the screen?
Or , if you need proof 'Honey Trap' him. You will need to find out which website(s) he is on then it would be very easy and this is where i would use a professional , or a MN'er

He might, and I stress might ,simply just be chatting to these ladies for an ego boost or to give him a reassurance that hes still got it , or can get 'it' if the need arises. Sorry.

There is a site called "Spokeo". Google it. Type in the email address you suspect your H uses. It searches social networking sites, dating sites, etc. For a small fee you can get a report and links to sites carrying the email address.

Hi HeavenlyYoni, I bought it two days ago (Spokeo) it gave very little info and you need to know the email address that you suspect is being used,in my case I only know the normal ones.So it depends if it will work for you based on what email address info you have.

hi. sorry for late reply. i have used it to help a friend in need. we knew his email address and we discovered profiles on 2 social networking sites.
however, as the pp said, he could have a new email address.

Don't waste any money on a P.I. Just get your affairs in order for when you need it (i.e. copies of everything financial!)....

I cant remember the cost. Go check it out and Im sure it will say.
