Hi everyone,

I have a beautiful baby boy on the way (should be with us by Christmas!) but the pregnancy hasn't been plain-sailing. I already have two children and a situation has presented itself where I need a paternity test for one of them.

I wondered if anybody had any advice or experience with these kind of companies? There are a lot of online options to send your samples away but I don't know how reliable/reputable these are. I live in the North East and have heard of a company called North Gene(?) has anybody had any experience with them?

It's a sensitive issue and want it sorting ASAP.

Thanks for any advice in advance!

Jxx

Will the result need to stand up in a court of law potentially? Is access / maintenance an issue?

Cellmark is the company that the CSA use because they can stand up in court. Not sure on the prices though - ours was through the CSA because he denied paternity.

We did one through an actual place (clinic) where you went to and had swabs taken, you could choose whether to have the basic one or the one that would stand up in court for about a £100 more.
