Hi, I hope someone can help here as I'm a bit worried. Just received a letter from my solicitor regarding my divorce. Basically the Nisi will be pronounced soon but according to my solicitor they will not be delaying the divorce while they consider arrangements for our DD. Instead I have to attend a hearing a month later when the court will consider these arrangements. The reason I am concerned is that we have finally come to an arrangement where DD stay 6 out of 14 nights with her dad and 8 out of 14 with me (DD is 3). Is the court going to change this arrangement?

If you have agreed something then there shouldn't be a need for a further hearing afaik. He has generous access compared to many, so there shouldn't be any issues. Try not to worry. Many wise people will be along to advise you.

That's the thing though, the solicitor has told me to put the date in my diary as I need to attend. STBXH wants 50:50 but he won't take DD on certain days because he finishes slightly later on some days (home by 6.30pm) and also he may have to travel abroad sometimes, I just cannot see how 50:50 is practical.

I wouldn't worry too much. He is wanting 50:50, you're willing to compromise on something very close that works with his working arrangements. I think the court would be hard pushed to give him more time if they knew he wouldn't be able to do it!
