Would love to hear how mumsnetters who are separating from their partners are handling it with their children. Any tips to share? I left my husband nine months ago and it's been a rocky road!

Afet 18 months of being a single parent, i'd say just keep your head down and do your best. Be as honest as you can, but don't share everything just the things your kids have to know.
My ex has played so many silly games to hurt me using our two youngest sons, over and over, and criticising me, i've refused to do the same. Now the boys are realising who tells the truth, who puts them first time after time, and its me.

I've still got the wonderful relationship with them i've always had, their Dad can no longer say that.
