After a disastrous first attempt at seeing someone after my marriage break down and been hurt by them I'm having another go .
Ive been on a 2 dates with a guy I met last time I did online dating last year when I rejoined he messaged me and we met this time .
The dates were good I liked him and he me etc but I'm out of practise really at all this , I didn't invite him back to mine as I'm not wanting to rush into anything .
When my friends heard about it they all wondered why I'd not .
What's the general feeling nowadays , is it expected ?

Who cares if it's expected? You are far more likely to find someone compatible if you behave in a way that feels right for you, not according to some mythical dating rules.

As said above, there are no universal rules about relationships, just the application of your own standards and preferences. If you don't want to rush into a physical relationship that's 100% legitimate.

I read somewhere a while ago, that the average no of dates before sleeping together is three. How accurate that is and what statistics they used I have no idea.

Hence it's when your ready, not when everyone else feels or implies that you should be.

I expect when it feels the right time you'll both know.

I don't think it's expected and it's also more importantly about what feels right for you.

Others may disagree but I think things actually tend to move a little slower with OD because you're both aware of being strangers and most decent men will want to be polite and respectful of this.

Are these friends single? I find most coupled up friends really do seem to think it's like Sex and the City out there. It's not well not always.

Yeah they are single and think I should just get stuck in .
