Just that, really. I'm not very happy at the moment in my relationship, I know the internet isn't going to tell me what to do, but I wondered how other people weigh up the good and the bad.

I'm a bit concerned to think of you reading this thread so late. All I can say to you Give is that for me, the build up to the big decision was the worse part. Yes, there are going to be difficult or challenging times ahead for you and they tend to come as does grief, when you are not expecting it. But at least the trauma of indecision and the waiting can be walked past now.

And it is never ever too late for happy endings, Give. It may not involve him any more but your happy ending will come from you now being able to use your energies towards a focus upon yourself and the little family unit you are now in. Then you will start to find peace in having made that decision that you deserve more from life than an unhappy relationship.

We are all here. Try to get some rest now xxx

i have had lovely texts and calls from friends and one insisted I go stey with them tonight so I am en route. I feel so lucky - MN support and good friends.

Lean on your friends. I called off an engagement recently, and people have been fantastic. I have travelled around visiting people I haven't seen in ages, I've had raucous nights out, I've had so many offers of support both emotional and practical. it has been a horrible time, but one upside is that I have realised how much love and friendship I have around me.
