Has anyone any experience. I've now met about 8 people in about 6 months, no spark with any of them. And tonight agreed to meet someone who seemed very nice, and he just didn't turn up !!!
I wondering if it's a waste of time...

I did online dating, like you I had lots of pointless dates, but I also had some good ones and I eventually (after about 9 months or so) met my husband. We've now been married for a year and are having a baby in 5 weeks time. It can work! Good luck.

I'd love to have even had 8 dates in 6 months using online dating.

Thanks for your replies :)
I've heard of a few people meeting someone and having a lasting relationship, but after 6 months I'm feeling a bit despondent. Also there just seems to be the same people on there all the time now (mainly use match). probably just extra fed up because of being stood up and having wasted my time and money getting ready and getting to the pub we were supposed to meet at

I did online dating on and off for a couple of years. Met some nice men, strange men etc. But I also met my DF on a dating site about three and half years ago. We are expecting our first DC in January 2014 and due to get married in September this year. We are both very happy and I am so glad I met him.

Good luck Op.. Smile

I met DP on a dating website, but I met a fair few wrong guys along the way. Don't let the fun of it be lost, enjoy the experiences and remember that each one is a step toward finding more out about yourself.

I never thought I'd meet any man I could fallen love with, but I did and I couldn't be happier. Keep at it

Yep I think percieverance is the word , keep all emalis short , and try and meet them as soon as possible, then move on to the next one, take a break from it if you feel despondent , then go back and try again................bit like Robert the Bruce and the spider if at first you dont succeed and all that good luck!
