A trivial dilema

My DS's have been invited to a party at their cousins house, the cousin is on my ex's side of the family (his sisters son) and thankfully, he has offered to take them. Thing is my sons have been invited to 4 other partys next week and it's running out pretty expensive so would it be too much to expect my ex (my sons' dad) to buy the card and present for his nephew for when he takes them?

Sorry for the trivial dilema but I'm stressing over it a bit!

Explain the situation to ex, that you wish you could get him something but just can't. If he doesnt want to get him anything then the kids don't have to go.

not at all.

why should you pay for the present? the birthday is on his families side so surely he would be buying a pressie anyway?

i dont think your wrong at all
