Which one gets more from life?

Person 1 - Outwardly confident, bubbly, adventurous, likes to be centre of attention, two faced, wraps men around finger with 'little girl lost' image, gold-digger, dog eat dog attitude, breaks all the rules etc.

Person 2 - Quiet, reserved, follows rules, old fashioned manners and values, prefers not to be centre of attention, treats people how they expect to be treated etc.

Just wondering which person gets more out of life? I'm more Person 2 and have friends that are 1's. Don't want to be like Person 1, but actually wondering if I should have more of a carefree don't give a sh't attitude to get more from life? Feeling a little down as the 1's always seem to get what they want - the better paid job, the house, the guy etc., whereas I'm still single, struggle and plod on in life.

Do us 'nice' people just end up plodding through life?

Number 2 every time. Number one has little respect and is a user. People look down on people like number one most of the time.

Neither sound like they really maximize what life has to offer.

I suppose they get what they put in.
Both can be happy or miserable.

LowLevelWhinging · 16/06/2013 01:04

worrying about what other people get from life is no route to happiness.

you are you.

just do that.

What utterly bizarre stereotypes

Utterly bizarre post!

Neither sounds like anyone I'd give the time of day to tbh. 1 sounds histrionic and a user, 2 sounds superior, judgmental also two faced and a limited thinker.

Why do you have friends you clearly dislike so much anyway?

There's no 'winner' here. Person 2 will probably finish life with a lot of regrets about all the opportunities they missed. Person 1 eventually gets old, the 'little girl lost' routine pales and, as the song says, No-one Wants A Fairy When She's Forty. :)
