Pelvic floor - massive issues :(

Hiya - I'm new and I've just posted on health. I hope no one minds me posting on here too but Im desperate for advice and this is not the kind of thing I'd chat about to anybody... if anyone has any positive stories re a pelvic floor that is apparently "without hope" then I'd love to hear from you. (Again, posted on Health board). Thank you so much...

SoleSource: did you / do you have a bad problem then??? (Sorry to ask - it's just that apparently I have!) Did this AthenaFem help with anything serious - or is it more a preventative measure and you being 'good' at doing your PF exercises!!!

I did have leakage and loose in sex. Not anymore! :)

maybe see a professional too. I think GP loans these machines too but I wanted one that was permanently mine.

It tightened me up, trained toned me pelvic muscles

I had stress and urge incontinence and had a tvt operation which helped massively. You can get medication to help an over active bladder.
If it is affecting your life go to see your GP and ask for a referral to the continence clinic.
You don't have to suffer and it is very common.

Who said your pelvic floor was without hope? Why?

Not me but my mum had problems after 6 pregnancies. She used the weighted cones and they made a massive difference. She also now uses a ring device that she was given at the continence clinic.

Don't feel embarrassed and just get yourself a referral from the Doctors, they've seen it and much worse many times before. As the psychological impact can be so bad I'd not waste time trying to sort it yourself but get proper professional guidance a.s.a.p.

I had tvt OP too after 3 months of intensive physio. Worked a treat for me! Don't put up with it OP.
