Just curious really. have not been in a long term relationship up until now and we're nearing the year mark.

There are a few irritating habits etc but nothing serious has come up yet and it's got me wondering.

When do you think people start showing all sides of themselves. (I don't mean anything abusive etc, just that I think everyone shows their best side first iyswim).

Maybe I've just met a goodun and am too cynical to believe it Grin

I know i come across as quite passive but have tried to make sure he knows that doesn't mean I'll put up with being treated badly. I can stand my ground when i need to, like with the weekend issue :)

How old are you both? Are you both working?

As to your question, I'm not sure SIL got married last year and I recently witnessed a spat between her and her DP where it was obvious her DH was unaware of her strong opinion / behaviour over a certain issue. Mind you DP and I have often speculated that once her DP finds out what she's really like its doomed!

DPs brother also has a split personality mind you!

I've tried to be myself and he knows the things feel most strongly about and we've agreed to disagree on a few things. I've told him where i stand on issues that come up on this board too, like porn, money, housework, general behaviour etc.

We're both mid twenties, im a student and he works full time.

Sounds like I've grilled the poor bloke.

It's all been in general conversations, so not like an entrance exam! Grin
