i met someone online. we have met up 4 times, twice for coffee, then lunch last week and dinner tonight. had a bit of a kiss and cuddle on the way home. i dont know what to do next. we both have difficult home situations, i am a single mum of 4 and my brother lives with me, he still lives in the same house as his ex until it sells. i dont know where to go from here, i really like him, but i dont want to rush into things.

Perfect situation if you don't want to rush it.

Inviting eachother home isn't an option. Just keep dating and enjoy.

but what happens when we do want to go further, and of course how soon should that be?

I don't think you can decide on a time limit. Just when you are both ready.

In my last relationship we were both back with parents. me for financial reasons, him as he was doing major building works to his house.

We ended up waiting four months and had to go to a hotel.

Just keep dating; if it gets serious, one or other of you will make a change.

Is your brother making any moves towards independence?

am happy to wait for now, no actual time limit but was wondering how to manage things once we both were ready. my brother, well its a difficult thing there, he is waiting for a council flat, but while he is here then i have a babysitter for the evenings once the younger kids are in bed. its a tough situation, but in some ways my brother being here is helpful.

You've had four dates. I would get to know each other before worrying about how/when/if you'll have sex.
