Refuge is calling for a public inquiry into the response of state agencies, including the police, to domestic violence.

This is really important and all the cuts have made it much harder for victims to find help and make themselves (and children) safe. That makes it even more important that official agencies respond strongly and properly when they become involved.

The figure of 2 women a week - a week! - being killed by their abuser has to be brought down.
