MrsBungle · 17/04/2013 12:48

I moved in with DH when I was 27 and got married when I was 28 had lived with 2 different guys previously for 2 years and 3 years

Myliferocks · 17/04/2013 12:50

I was 19 and 7 mths pregnant when I moved in with my DP.
We'd only been together 13 months.
18 and a half years later we're still together and have 5 DC in total.
Still not married though.

BanjoPlayingTiger · 17/04/2013 12:50

I was 20 when we moved in together and 22 when we married.

LotsaTuddles · 17/04/2013 12:51

Moved in with DP just after my 22nd birthday, will be marrying him this June (still 22) and having his baby this September (still 22, but not long before my 23rd birthday) and we're buying a house together now, but will be moving into it in September (hopefully before the baby is born)

Pascha · 17/04/2013 12:51

Moved in at 24, married at 28

Dahlialover · 17/04/2013 12:51

AKissIsNotAContract · 17/04/2013 12:51

We are getting married in September, I'll be 31. I was 29 when we moved in together.

kissmyshineymetalass · 17/04/2013 12:57

I was 19 we'd only been together 8mths,I'm 30 now and we are still together but we're not married and never will be

NeverMindOhWell · 17/04/2013 13:00

Moved in at 21, married at 23. Him 2 years older. Still together 11 years and 2 DCs later,, not been plain sailing though! x

pinktransit · 17/04/2013 13:06

I was 18 when I met him and moved in with him (same night :0 ), although very nearly 19.
20 when I married him - and 4 months pregnant. 21 when I had our second daughter, and 22 when I left him.

He has gone on to marry twice more (I was his second wife), has 5 daughters and an adopted son. My daughters are his second and third.

My choice of man at 18/19 was appallingly bad. (Obviously didn't think so at the time though.)

YoniOno · 17/04/2013 13:08

But it's not about your age - it's about you and him. What's your situation, any pregnancy / kids?

badtasteyoni · 17/04/2013 13:10
  1. Now 40ish and still very happy with my choice!

TBH I was a completely different person when I was 19 - the boyfriend I had then was one I would never have put up with now...

HongkongDreamer · 17/04/2013 13:12

Yeah thats true, no kids and not preg. Im at uni (2 years till i graduate) and he works full time. I want to live with him but im worried incase i miss out on some stuff with uni etc and if we did end up together then that would mean id have been with the same person for 12 years by the time im only 30, some people havent even met the person they'll end up marrying by that time. Scared incase i end up regretting it x

badtasteyoni · 17/04/2013 13:14

Dreamer my gut feeling is that if you're worrying about missing out/regretting it, then he aint the one for you Smile

MirandaWest · 17/04/2013 13:14

I was nearly 24 when XH and I got married, but we hadn't lived together before that. I think it would have been better if we had before getting married (if indeed we had then ended up getting married).

kellibabylove · 17/04/2013 13:16

19 & I was 21 when we got married.

Squitten · 17/04/2013 13:17

I met him when I was 18 (nearly 19). Moved in together when I was 21. Got married when I was 24 and fell pregnant straight away. Been married for 6yrs this year and we now have two DS and our final DC on the way.

He is 6.5 yrs older than me but I would say that I was more mature in my thinking about relationships at 19 than he was at 25. it actually took him longer to get to the settling-down stage and we had to negotiate some very different ideas about how our relationship should be - it got ugly at times! Now I'm 30 and he's 36 and I'd say that we're very different people to who we were when we met!

HongkongDreamer · 17/04/2013 13:17

I dont mean missing out on other guys, he's the only person i want to be with. Just mean about maybe not seeing my friends as much etc.

OP posts:
HongkongDreamer · 17/04/2013 13:20

Plus id feel guilty about leaving my mum etc even if it was only down the road...aghh confused.

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 17/04/2013 13:21

Moved in together at 22.
Married at 26.

I met him when I was 16 though.

Squitten · 17/04/2013 13:22

Why the rush? If you don't feel ready now, just wait a bit! If he's Mr. Right, he'll still be there when you are ready

NotSoNervous · 17/04/2013 13:23

19 - we'd been together 3years

Lottapianos · 17/04/2013 13:24

Moved in when I was 28, had been together 3 years and 3 months Smile. That was 5 years ago and in some ways it still feels very new - I still get excited about coming home to him every day.

Not married
