Selfish?

On Saturday it is my birthday and tomorow night me, my partner and my 2 children are going for a meal to celebrate.

I do like a drink when I go for a meal (not to get drunk but more than you can drive home on) and my partner is not insured to drive my car so either a) I will be driving and obviously not drinking or b) we get a taxi which might be quie pricey.

My question is, since it is my birthday celebration is it selfish of me to want a drink meaning we'd have to get a taxi or should I just forget about having a drink and drive us there?

def taxi, unless it wouldnt cost much to put him on the insurance then he can drive every time! it was free to put my partner on so might be worth checking it out (unless you dont want him driving your car of course, i just hate driving so much i was over the moon to find someone else who could do it)

Taxi!!! And I'd look into getting him onto your insurance. When my dh (then dp) put me on his insurance he got a £150 reduction!!! I REALLY enjoyed that... Grin
