OP posts:
Gemmitygem · 11/05/2006 12:46

do kind things like make cups of tea, nice meal,

Really make an effort to listen to some not-very-interesting-story.

sexy underwear when he gets home.

They are simple creatures!

noddyholder · 11/05/2006 12:46

Can't repeat it on here

puff · 11/05/2006 12:47

rofl noddy

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 12:48

So, apart from the non-repeatable noddy stuff, being attentive, is that it?

OP posts:
Piffle · 11/05/2006 12:50

I'm still here, is that not enough?

Northerner · 11/05/2006 12:50

Wake him up with a BJ.

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 12:54

Lol Piffle. Northener, there's a thought! Want dp to eventually realise, through small things, that I am working at 'us', have realised that relationship has slipped a little and need to put in more effort iyswim. Keep the suggestions rolling, rude or otherwise!

I sometimes make the effort and do a 3/4 course meal with candles etc as a surprise.

I pick things that are easy to pre prepare (or get a bit of help from M&S Wink).

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 12:59

Sorry to hear that annimac. Hopefully we can both pick up some good tips then. Read Relationship Rescue by Phil McGraw the other week, really made me think. There were questions like write five things that you have done that is loving for your partner in the last month? could only manage one. The next question was what have you done that is horrible to your partner. Managed more than five that time! Need Mners help.

I have a collection of cards I've bought when something has taken my eye - might be funny or soppy or both.

I write one out and leave it by his teacup every now and then.

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 13:01

Thanks puff, food is always a good idea, love M & S too! Am planning that for tomorrow night, he's away tonight so want to have a little 'plan' in place for tomorrow!

OP posts:
ProfYaffle · 11/05/2006 13:01

sh*g him, he's easily pleased

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 13:02

Puff, cards are a fab idea! Wow, bet your other half is a happy bunny!

I am generally too knackered to be the glorious sex kitten I once was, so these things take less energy Grin

puff · 11/05/2006 13:04

lol prof

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 13:05

Aww Puff, that's not good. 'Glorious sex kitten' that's what I want to be, how do you do it, anyone?

OP posts:
puff · 11/05/2006 13:06

yeah, I'm all ears too Grin

acnebride · 11/05/2006 13:06

Sit and chat while looking at him, or at least concentrating only on him - no ds, no tv, no screen.

At random moment, just say 'phwoar you look gorgeous today love, you have such sexy [shoulders]' or whatever (shoulders probably my thing, ignore that)

sit at his feet and give them a massage - haven't done that one for a while, might do it tonight

give him a lie in and make no hints about when i'm getting one

take a lie in for myself, don't give any instructions and tell him how great he has made me feel

decorated the house with a big banner and bottle of wine when he passed his exams

ring my mum and tell her how proud i am of him, how much he's been doing for me, in front of him

ask him what he's thinking - but my dh is possibly unique in genuinely liking to be asked this, it's taken me 3 years to get used to it

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 13:09

Acnebride, that's great, lots I could do there. Any more, anyone?

OP posts:
Hoopoe · 11/05/2006 13:13

Send him sexy text message so he can't wait to get home.

NotActuallyAMum · 11/05/2006 13:26

Look him in the eye, smile and ask him if he knows how much you love him/how lucky you are to have him/how happy he makes you/how much you appreciate him

Get some writing icing/chocolate letters and put him a message on a cake

Hoopoe · 11/05/2006 13:26

messages I meant!

Somanykiddies · 11/05/2006 13:27

Thanks everyone, keep em coming.
