As a man, I can tell you ladies that we are a simple folk. Have a look at this cartoon and I can tell you it explains a lot of our differences in a nutshell....

We love you for who you are, warts and all. Whatever you think we are thinking, we really are not Smile

Lovingfreedom · 30/03/2013 16:14

You wish...she's actually thinking 'Eugh!! Not again. I'm definitely giving up drinking this time'

BelleDameSansMerci · 30/03/2013 16:17

Ah, of course, because all we ever think about is relationships. Hmm

garlicbrunch · 30/03/2013 16:28

It's so true! All women think about is men, relationships, and whether they're getting fat! No wonder we can't comprehend the far wider, more creative and fascinating minds of men!

Thanks for explaining :) Such a relief to know you love us despite our limited intellect!

Flisspaps · 30/03/2013 16:35

And there was me thinking the difference was basically that men have penises and women have vaginas.

Silly me!

Verbalpunchbag · 30/03/2013 16:58

Looked at the cartoon, expected to read comments along the lines of, ' LTB, there she is laid in bed worrying and he's ignoring her' etc

But the sarcasm didn't disappoint.

[buhmm]

garlicbrunch · 30/03/2013 18:07

I know, Verbal. Why can't a woman be more like a ... man?
Don't know how you put up with us, I really don't.

Verbalpunchbag · 30/03/2013 19:10

Garlic, my comment was directed at the attitude of some on here, not differences between men and women, thanks for proving my point.

SanityClause · 30/03/2013 19:14

What Flisspaps said!

countrykitten · 30/03/2013 19:33

So....no crappy stereotyping there then?

Lovingfreedom · 30/03/2013 20:07

Why are there so many patronising men on here recently? Is the screw fix web server down?

Sunnywithshowers · 30/03/2013 20:19

Perhaps it's an Easter thing LovingFreedom. [bugrin]

Lueji · 30/03/2013 20:20

It's because they are all the same, all thinking about the landing habits of flies.
Just hoping they haven't forgotten to do theirs up. Wink

I'm not sure trying to convince us that you are that simple is such a good thing. I like men with slightly deeper thoughts. :o

Timetoask · 30/03/2013 20:25
Grin The cartoon was funny!
garlicbrunch · 30/03/2013 20:39

I did get it, Verbal. We could have so much more fun if you were a little less focused on proving to - er, whomever - that we're a bunch of sour-faced man-haters.

Never mind, eh :)

Fairenuff · 30/03/2013 20:44

You don't love us for 'who we are', that's a load of crap. If your dw cheated on you, didn't do any housework or childcare, spent all her money on herself, etc. you wouldn't love it, would you.

What a load of nonsense.

And what makes you think you can speak for all men anyway?

Verbalpunchbag · 30/03/2013 20:48

I'm not trying to prove anything, it's a meaningless and not very funny cartoon, does the op deserve such sarcastic remarks? In my opinion no.

Never mind. ;)

Lovingfreedom · 30/03/2013 21:01

I'm in the middle of painting a ceiling but all I can think is...does my bum look big in these overalls?

Verbalpunchbag · 30/03/2013 21:08

Does it? :-)

Lovingfreedom · 30/03/2013 21:10

No bigger than usual...Grin

garlicbrunch · 30/03/2013 21:12

Does the op deserve such sarcastic remarks? - Well, he's introduced his thread as an 'explanation' of something nobody asked him to explain, and offered us a cartoon which is only funny if you buy into a "women's brains are all about feelings; men's brains are all about engineering" stereotype. Oh, yeah, and he classified all men as 'simple' whilst assuring us - unasked - that all men love women.

I reckon he deserves some sarcasm, yes!
