Can't get on to a thread which has become familiar recently:- "Why Are So Many People Up At This Hour?"

I'm so very sorry for your loss, jynier. I'm no stranger to bereavement if you should want to talk about it here.

With regard to the thread you've mentioned, as it's received 1000 posts it's now closed and a new one has begun here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/relationships/1715659-cant-sleep-wont-sleep-3

Thanks, all!

I am so sorry for my older brother! He and our family friend were best mates from an early age through our respective Irish mothers!

Years and years ago, our chum took on the care of his small daughter after his wife had legged it and then fully and completely supported his D when her husband went off leaving her with 3 children (1DS + twins).

It's so sad! His poor daughter is heartbroken.
