Dp sleeping on the sofa...

I think I am going mental, my dp seems very over sensitive.

I did my back in this morning and am struggling to move about..coming to bed half hr ago and I was struggling up the stairs, struggling to get socks off etc. dp tries to help and I say no, fairly sharply, as I thought he was going to grab my foot.

He is now saying I throw any efforts of help back in his face. I was in bloody agony and he says I shouldn't have snapped but tbh I couldn't help it, I thought he was going to pull my trousers off my foot and even the slightest wrong movement us seating.

I then said he was like his mother, making a drama out of everything. Bad move, I understand why he is upset about this, but the other bit?

If you try and help someone in pain there is a risk of them not wanting / needing your help... It is no slur on his efforts which I appreciate no end

Well no one likes to be told they're like their mother now do they? I kind of see why he stormed off with that one. Not the snapping though. I would imagine it was more urgency than snapping wasn't it?

Yes, it was definitely urgency... And no, nobody likes to be told that, out if order I know
